SAP® system translation environment setup

Email Print PDF
To translate SAP® system components into different languages, you should use the standard built-in translation environment (SE63). If the project is bigger than just translating a few objects —like localization of larger individual customer developments— then setting up this translation environment should be an advantage. It will enable you to:
  • use statistics,
  • use worklists for the translations into different languages,
  • record the translations into transport requests for distributing them into other systems,
  • reuse translations through the Proposal Pool,
  • perform automatic distributions,
  • and many more.
In short: it will manage all language-relevant tasks for the whole localization and internationalization lifecycle.

Our service scope for translation environment setup:
  • Preliminary consultation
  • Setting up source and target languages
  • Defining object types for the particular languages
  • Creating an initial object list
  • Creating an initial worklist and statistics for the target languages
  • Creating translator profiles and users
  • Setting up transport recording
  • Assigning collections to translators
